Safeguarding children and adults is everyone's business and is a fundamental part of the health and dental practice.
Following the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014, the Care Quality Commission introduced fundamental standards in 2015.
Understanding safeguarding is paramount in meeting the fundamental standards in order to keep children, young people and vulnerable adults safe who access the service.
