There are many ways schools can be vulnerable to safeguarding risks. The Safeguarding Alliance offer schools an annual safeguarding health check that will mitigate against potential risks and promote pupil safety and well being. Dependent on geographical location this will be conducted either on school site or face-to-face using our secure online platform.

It is paramount that Designated Safeguarding Leads feel confident and supported in their decision-making processes. To maintain and develop professional resilience we offer members termly safeguarding supervision, that enables reflection and evaluation of current practice. Regular high-quality safeguarding supervision is an essential element for keeping children safe in education and supporting the DSL.

Safeguarding Together allows our members to collaborate, show case best practice and raise awareness of current safeguarding trends through a monthly safeguarding publication. Although it is important that safeguarding remains contextual to practice and location, it is paramount that global safeguarding trends are considered as they have the potential to impact the wellbeing and safety in your setting.

In response to COVID-19 The Safeguarding Alliance have developed a three phased approach to safeguarding; Critical Response, Adjustment and Rehabilitation. For each phase we have developed a safeguarding resource pack that will support you in your role. Resources will be regularly updated to incorporate any guidance changes.
