AUDIT + ACCREDITATION
An external audit is an independent assessment of your organisations safeguarding practice enabling you to benchmark your safeguarding understanding and performance. Adopting a risk based approach, The Safeguarding Alliance will identify your strengths and areas requiring improvement ensuring concerns do not escalate into a crisis.
The Safeguarding Alliance developed its safeguarding audit packages after many years of advising and supporting organisations around the world. Our team of safeguarding specialists are highly skilled and experienced enabling us to efficiently identify, often unrecognised, risks in context.
The Safeguarding Alliance offer three unique audit packages:
OUR AUDIT PACKAGES
For organisations wishing to undertake a safeguarding review into a specific focus area. A one to two day assessment which includes a short report detailing our findings. Although we are able to conduct multiple safeguarding reviews simultaneously, in this instance we would recommend you consider the Audit+ package below.
Our most popular package includes an in-depth 'root and branch' safeguarding review of the whole organisation. Audit+ is broken down into six stages: policy review, the audit, contextual training, materials, the report and a two year support and membership package.
audit + accreditation
Organisations demonstrating exceptional safeguarding practice during the Audit+ process will be eligible to apply for The Safeguarding Standard Accreditation. This is at no additional cost, but will only be awarded to qualifying organisations.
The Safeguarding Standard acts as an external validation of best practice which enables the organisation to publicly display The Safeguarding Alliance Accredited Centre Logo.
The Safeguarding Standard is valid for a period of two years and runs parallel to the Audit + process.
During this time the organisation will receive ongoing support, impact assessments and quality assurance reviews to ensure continued compliance with the The Safeguarding Standard.
