The Safeguarding Alliance CEO, Emily Konstantas, appeared on TalkTV to address the inherent risks associated with TikTok trends following the recent tragic death of Tommie-Lee who died after taking part in an online ‘chroming challenge’.
She emphasised the critical necessity for proactive measures to be taken in keeping children safe online, and the need for social media giants to not only to take responsibility, but to be held to account for their actions and contributions to a child’s death.
