The Safeguarding Alliance had the privilege of giving evidence to the Education Select Committee in May 2020. The Education Committee scrutinises the work of the Department for Education, covering children’s social care, schools, colleges, the early years and higher education.
Evidence was given around the impact of coronavirus on education and children's services in the United Kingdom. The Safeguarding Alliance gave evidence around a new frontier of vulnerabilities that has been identified through our member schools and organisations.
Evidence was given from the Association of Directors of Children's Services, Barnado's, The Safeguarding Alliance and the National Association of Head Teachers.
